      10/08/15 - IAFF 7th District
Has your Local adopted the project "Operation Warm" otherwise known as "coats for kids"? If not, you are missing out on an opportunity to make the lives of many better. Not only for the children in need of the warmth and caring a new coat brings but to enrich the lives of those actually building the garment. That is right, when you purchase a coat from Operation Warm, you are supporting Union workers assembling the garments as well American businesses that are making the materials.....yep, 100% made in America garments by UNION workers! Local 1052 member Travis Leonard gets it and see his video at https://vimeo.com/137864929 for his take on the project. He has raised funds, engaged with teachers, bought coats and then coordinated giving them to children which as enriched the lives of all he engaged with. This is a worthy project so get on board. Please email Laura Wisneski at laura@operationwarm.org to find out how you can make a difference!
